The error is due to something called DEP.

The splash screen is displayed, after it disappears the software does not run

Resolution

• Click on the Windows Start menu and search for 'Advanced System Settings'
• Click on 'View Advanced System Settings (control panel)'.
• Under Advanced, select Settings from the Performance section at the top.
• Click on the Data Execution Prevention tab.
• Select "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only".
• Click OK to save your new settings.
• Restart your computer.

If you find this is setting is getting changed regularly after a Windows update then try selecting the 2nd option:

• Select "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select"
• Then click ADD and select the BankTree3.exe application to add as an exception.
• Click OK to save your new settings.
• Restart your computer.
