Where do you see the software 'sitting'? Is it for the self-employed and contractor or like myself someone who just needs to get their finances sorted.  
 
Is the software online or downloaded onto my PC?

BankTree Personal Finance will work for the home user, although it also has features that will work for the self-employed. It will not automatically calculate taxes. 
 
The software is downloaed on to your computer.

As Quicken and MS Money are winding up in the UK, would this be appropriate for a replacement and will it produce reports of all category expenditure? 
 
Answer: 
Yes we produce reports of all category expenditure and will import exisiting MS Money and Quicken data (exported as QIF / OFX file format)
